Send us the photo page of your passport and we apply for your visa. Applications go through the Department of Tourism's online system and are approved once the one-time US$40 visa fee and the Sustainable Development Fee have been paid. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.
At your point of entry you show your visa clearance letter, and the visa is stamped into your passport.
All tourists must obtain visa clearance before travelling to Bhutan. Indian nationals do not need a visa but must obtain an entry permit; Bangladeshi and Maldivian nationals receive a visa on arrival.
