Haa
A quiet valley near the Tibetan border, opened to visitors in 2002.
Haa is small, high and much less visited than the valleys east of it. The drive in over Chele La, at 3,988 m the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, is the reason many people come.
The Alpine Summer Festival runs here for two days each July, with mask dances, folk songs, nomadic food and the alpine flowers out on the slopes.
