Trashigang
The far east, and the largest town on that side of the country.
Trashigang sits above the Drangme Chhu, low enough to be warm, and was once the centre of trade with Tibet. Very few visitors get this far.
It is the base for Trashi Yangtse and Chorten Kora to the north, and for meeting the Brokpa people of Merak and Sakteng, who keep yaks and dress quite unlike anyone else in Bhutan.
